It’s deeply concerning that racist film fans are threatening to boycott the next James Bond movie if Jewish actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson is confirmed for the role. The Sun reported last week that the 33-year-old star has been offered the part, but he has unfortunately faced anti-Semitic comments online as a result.
The hashtag #BoycottJamesBond has been extensively circulated on social media platforms such as Twitter. One fan criticized the producers, stating, “Really bad timing with Israel committing genocide in Gaza. Shame on you. I hope your company collapses.” Another individual on Instagram expressed their sentiment by saying, “Boycott Bond, Free Palestine.” Additionally, a third commenter declared, “I won’t buy a ticket for any of its movies. Will boycott all of it. Bunch of killers.”
